Less than one hour from Munich by train is the town of Rosenheim and 10 mins from the train station the museam is hosting a superb exhibition (in English as well as German) about the Romans.

In this heat Munich's beergardens are the place to be and my favourite is Munich's largest and least touristy, known as the Hirschgarten/deer garden. Even you can have a beer next to the deer paddock and your even allowed to feed them (carrots and apples only!).

Today I was showing a guest around the best hidden secrets of Munich's old town.

A great day with a couple from Texas on my Munic Highlights tour. Since it was wet we ended in a nice local beerhall instead of a beergarden as planned but when life gives you lemons drink go inside and Radler.

 Verified Tom's Tour of Dachau We had Tom as our tour guide (through Radius Tours) for Dachau Concentration Camp. Though there was a lot to discuss with very little time, Tom did a thorough breakdown of the history of the camp and the circumstances leading to the Holocaust. He easily kept a rather large tour group focused & engaged, and was very empathetic & attentive to those in the group that needed extra time to get around the site.  Verified Interesting brewery tour with history This was a fantastic tour, definitely well worth doing. Tom was friendly, very knowledgeable and a delight. Munich was besieged by football fans so he adjusted the tour to let us see as much as possible with the least crush. He took us to breweries, explained the architecture, the traditions and festivals and ancient laws - with some opportunities to taste.
